Social and Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Services
Armajun Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) and Mental Health Service strives to encourage a positive state of mental health and wellbeing associated with a strong and sustaining cultural identity, community, and family life that provides a source of strength against adversity, poverty, neglect, and other challenges of life.
Referral:
Referrals are welcome from GPs, community agencies, health workers, Department of Education, family and self-referral.
Staff:
Mental Health Counsellors and Mental Health Case Workers are based at Inverell, Glen Innes, Tenterfield and Armidale
SEWB/MH Services provided:
- Mental Health Assessment
- Individual counselling and support for adults and adolescents
- Family counselling and support for children and families
- Co-ordination and liaison with Psychiatric Services to support this experience
- Welfare and Advocacy support with other agencies
- Group work regarding SEWB / MH issues
- Providing SEWB/MH education, promotion and prevention initiatives
- Working in partnerships with Schools, Health and Community Agencies

- Mild to Moderate Mental Health issues
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Anger Management
- Grief & Loss / Trauma
- Relationship Issues
